Updates

Posted by D'Tanga on Feb 10, 2008 in Business Adventures, Personal

After a long wait, updates are here! Let’s get straight to business:

Personal Issues

After a while, everyone will die. The same applies to my family and my aunt who is lying on her death bed right now. I am not obliged to say much on this topic though, so I shall move on.

Video Blog Success

And here I was trying to sell them for such a small price. Right now, I am averaging at around  $20-$25 a day from these blogs alone. They have become addictive to run so I have decided to run a bigger network of them to make a great amount of money from them.

It’s late, so I will only update this much. I will update with more tomorrow. Peace.

New Experiments + DTS Blogging

Posted by D'Tanga on Jan 18, 2008 in Business Adventures

Firstly, I would like to apologize for not updating yesterday. Like my good friend said, I chose comfortability over updating. With my sickness, I was sleeping almost all day so I didn’t update and I know there isn’t an excuse for that, so I would like to personally say sorry.

I’m going to try something new. First off, I’m going to sell my video blogs. I will build some more, that’s for sure but at the moment, I want to try experimenting and getting into the big leagues. Like most of us, we feed off of the high traffic sites for our own money. The biggest example of this is Google, but there are other sites like video sites, tutorial sites, etc. I personally think I have been on the down-low for too long. From this day on, I’m going to work towards the big leagues. I have nothing against doing things that relate to the smaller league. In fact, I will most likely still do it, but my big goal is to get to the prowess of sites like Digg, Veoh, and maybe even Google!

I’m going to start with a new project called PhotoshopBlogger. It is going to be a content based blog that provides you with free Photoshop resources and free tutorials. You can consider these sites as being ’step one’ towards my goal of the big leagues.

Now I’m going to have to take my medication and sleep, so thank you for reading my blog update. There shall be more to come tomorrow!

Err…Adsense Problems

Posted by D'Tanga on Jan 14, 2008 in Business Adventures

I’ve been having an interesting problem with Adsense. I thought it would eventually go away but it just persists. =\ I can’t really describe it, so here’s a picture of it:

Adsense Error

The impressions don’t total the total that it displays. It’s been confusing me for a while…hm, anyway. If you guys have any suggestions, a comment would ROCK! I’ve tried contacting Adsense Support and received no response. I’ll try again, hopefully they will actually get the message.

Do you have this error?

5 Great Ways to Improve Your Business

Posted by D'Tanga on Jan 14, 2008 in Business Adventures

The idea of improving one’s own business is a common thought and a mandatory thought if you want to keep on excelling. A business is only as good as its owner though, and although your business requires you to put in a lot of work and effort, you can’t stay a grouchy owner forever (well technically you CAN, but it would just leave you miserable). This way of improving revolves around your inner happiness and your well being. Without further adieu…

5. Treat Yourself

Somewhere around the world, someone never treats themselves right. Who knows, this person could be a friend of yours, or could even be living in your own house, or could even be the ones reading this post at this very moment. One thing I’ve noticed with myself personally, is that if I don’t treat myself every once in a while, my urge to be treated increases, and I end up spending my whole paycheck before I even know it. It’s a vicious cycle and I’m certain that I’m not the only one who goes through it. This is why I recommend that people treat themselves occasionally. Spas, parties, video games, treat yourself! I don’t recommend that you blow your whole paycheck on treating yourself. If you spend around 10% of it, then you can still have a good time while conserving your money.

Remember, life’s too short to live it miserably. No one gets out alive anyway.

4. Focusing on the task at hand

I’ve always had trouble doing this. Staying focused is probably one of my major weaknesses. On my computer, I have Halo PC, Stepmania, lots of humor videos, lots of music, and that’s just on my computer. Outside of my computer, I have my television, my Wii, my MP3 players, my books…I could go on forever! As I tried to stay focused, I just couldn’t do it myself, so I went searching and found a smexiful tool. If you want to learn how much time you spend running certain programs, RescueTime is the way to go. I have some pretty disgusting results of my own. I run halo.exe for over 16 hours a week. Taking into account that I have school, and that I sleep, shower and eat, that is a hell of a lot of time spent on one program. From there, I was able to limit myself. How did I do that? I made a goal system. Each day that I would play Halo, I would make a goal to get X amount of kills. Once I reached that amount, I would stop there. Everyday that I play, I increase it little by little. I started out with an extremely easy goal and now I work from there. I’m basically killing 2 birds with one stone in this process. I’m learning to manage my time and I’m improving game-wise. I have also applied this to my random video watching, my MSN chatting and my computer use. The goal system works (for me at least).

3. Celebrate!

Many-a-time, people I know that achieve something and yet…they can’t bring themselves to celebrate it. I don’t know about you, but whenever I make a sale, I celebrate to the max! Call me crazy, but once I get into that positive celebration mood, it motivates me to do even better. Why not celebrate? Cheering for yourself is never a bad thing. If you can’t appreciate what you have at the moment, then how can you even begin to receive anything more? And plus, celebrate just for the hell of it! Life is fun if you want it to be, so make it fun!

2. Scheduling your time

Call me a hypocrite for saying this, but I have yet to create a solid schedule for myself as of yet. I have attempted many times, but none of them ever seem to work out. This is due to the fact that the amount of time you spend on your business, homework, and so forth, varies widely. i.e. If you schedule yourself to do homework for 1 hour a day but you have a project due next class, then of course it may take you more than 1 hour, which could effectively ruin your schedule. The great thing about this though, is that there are things that you can have a solid schedule for. Tasks such as, playing games, exercising, and even time spent for yourself can be scheduled easily. Not only that, but your scheduled hours can be flexible as well, depending on how well and/or fast you worked that day. Once you have a basic schedule covered though, you are on your way to success. It is effectively the best way to keep yourself organized in terms of work. If you can trust yourself not to overstep, then you will be sure to succeed.

1. Take things slowly

This will probably be the 10th - 10,000th time you’ve heard this, but patience is a huge-ass virtue. Nobody is expected to become a business expert or is even expected to write a schedule, because some random 16 kid said it’s a good thing to do. This is why I recommend that you take these things slowly. Instead of jumping straight into anything, expecting to become an expert at it, then failing miserably, ease into it slowly. I think everyone can agree that taking things slowly is the best way to go. In fact, I am taking things slow with my lunch at school. Usually everyday, I would go eat at a fast-food restaurant. I tried stopping it completely at once, and I utterly failed. That’s why, I have devised a new plan. I plan on eating fast food lunches 5 times on the first week, 4 times for the next 1-2 weeks, 3 times for the 1-2 weeks after that, and so on. It worked with my workout schedule, so I don’t see why it couldn’t work with everything else in your life. How you do anything is how you do everything. Once you start to stay committed in one part of your life, other parts of your life will start to reflect that. So like I said in the beginning, take it slow and let life take its course.

I hope you enjoyed my post. This is a first of many posts to come on this blog. I decided to try something different today. I’m not expecting it to be successful but it is a good start for trying out something new. Anyway, it’s 2:22AM right now and I have school tomorrow. :| I will end off this post with a good luck to all. Try something new!

Working on my Subscribers

Posted by D'Tanga on Jan 13, 2008 in Business Adventures

Hello one and all! The one thing that I have always taken for granted was how many people were subscribed to my RSS feed. Most big bloggers that I know of told me that it is a very useful tool that should not be taken for granted and I mostly ignored it (like a fool :P). After I realized the importance of having subscribers and readers, I started looking for RSS Feed Directories. The first one I found was RSSHugger which was a great start for me. The navigation and the design are great. They even list the most recent RSS Feeds so that everyone gets a little love. ;) The registration was very simple and so was getting my blog listed. If this is how easy it is to get readers, then I will be the subscribed king! That’s all for this post, I shall update early tomorrow or later today with more updates.

Until Next Time,
